The 35340-K40-F01 is a Left Handlebar Stop Switch Assembly (commonly known as the Rear Brake Light Switch).
This sensor is mounted to the rear brake master cylinder (on the left handlebar). Its primary job is to detect when you pull the left brake lever, completing the electrical circuit to activate the rear brake light and, crucially for scooters, signal the ECU to allow the engine to start.
